Help the Club Raise Funds

Captain and coach Graeme Mark has been nominated for the ‘COACH, YOU’RE THE BEST!’ award in a national competition run by Perkins Slade insurance company.

Individuals have been asked to write a maximum of 150 words saying why they think that their coach is the best. The public then vote online for their favourite coach who stands to win a £1000 of sports equipment.

To cast your vote follow the link below and then select Graeme Mark from the list of coaches in the drop down box. You will be asked for your email address to register your vote and when you have done this you will receive an email into your inbox asking you to click on the link given to confirm your vote. It is one vote per email address so once you have made your vote please ask your family and friends to vote as well.

Graeme, you’re the best! Graeme Mark dedicates his time to coaching and mentoring rowers at Talkin Tarn ARC.
Graeme has coached crews to a national level bringing national championship medals to our small club, he inspires beginners and experienced rowers alike. Graeme is part of a family that has been dedicated to the club for generations, his knowledge of the sport and the training required is “oarsome”.
He lives by his motto “Every rower finishes every session doing something better than they did at the start”, his drive for perfection motivates us to achieve things which we never thought possible. His ability is not limited to technique coaching, he understands the importance of nutrition and fitness and has a passion to support athletes who want to do more and go further. While training, it’s never dark until Graeme says its dark and you’re never tired until Graeme says you’re tired.
